What Is Social Media... Realized?

Hi, I'm Craig!

Social Media is my passion.

Direct-Response Marketing is my pedigree. (ala Dan Kennedy)

Personal Development facilitation is my gift.

I utilize the tools of Social Media to help 'enlightened entrepreneurs,' visionaries, and artists tell their story, connect with their Tribe, and attract paying clients.

You can see my own mission work here: http://EnlightenedChild.com (we're on the same path ;-)

Authenticity is the secret sauce, and I do more than just coach and consult. I facilitate personal transformation in service of your mission. Because in order to experience the spiritual, tribal and financial growth your mission requires, we have to do more than simply put up some social media sites and nifty content.

This is not about the money for me. This is about serving MY mission of helping as many other visionaries share their gifts with the world in an abundant, connected way.

...and I wanna get paid!

That said, I know the people who need my help the most are the ones who can afford it least. And I know that if I am successful in helping you make the transformations necessary to experience abundance in your life, from living more deeply into your mission, that there will be plenty to go around, and we can share in the abundance.

So, let's talk.

Enter your name & email on the right, and you will get an email from my system with the questions I'd like you to answer so I know if we are a good fit for each other. Feel free to share about yourself, your vision, your plan and your frustrations on this path.

Or simply connect with me here: http://www.facebook.com/SocialMediaRealized, and stay in the loop until you're ready to take the next step!

I sincerely look forward to connecting and supporting you in living your mission!

Craig

Social Media as a Transformative Path (Part 1)

C'mon dude, get real!

How do you expect me to believe that Facebook is some kinda "Path to Enlightenment?"

Well...

I can only speak from my own experience. (Which includes coaching and witnessing other 'enlightened entrepreneurs' transform their work and their lives with social media...) I'm not here to convince anyone.  If this resonates... let's talk.

From what I've felt and seen, I must say that Facebook is one of the most enlightening, well-rounded paths of personal & professional development I've ever come across!

And I've come across a LOT. I've been "on the path" since I was in high-school after some mind-uh-expanding experiences prompted me to start journaling.

Journaling is actually a fantastic example of a tranformative path. As many of you know. As my man Socrates was fond of saying, "The unexamined life is not worth living."

Ouch. That's some heavy sediment...

What social media offers is a continual stream of feedback and personal reflection. Or what some Eastern mystics and new-age psychotherapists would call Witness Consciousness.

Facebook and Twitter are constant invitations to "Check-in with ourselves."

Since it's "social" media, after-all, it's also an invitation to check-in with our Tribe.

In the next post, I'll finish that thought and tell you about one of the Tribes I belong to. I've learned much in 16 years of committed men's work that illuminates my understanding of social media, so be sure to check it out.

Have a great day - you deserve it!

Craig

ps - Please do leave comments. It's much more fun when these posts become dialogues. We'll certainly be talking about this on coaching calls, so if you can't afford coaching, this is your chance to get me talking ;-)

Social Media as a Transformative Path (Part 2)

So, we were talking about Social Media as a Path for Tranformation:
  • Spiritual
  • Tribal &
  • Financial
Facebook and Twitter are constant invitations to "Check-in with ourselves."

Since it's "social" media, after-all, it's also an invitation to check-in with our Tribe. (That's where we left off...)

When I was eighteen, I was initiated into the Sacred Masculine.

There are a number of modern masculine rites-of-passage. My initiation was part of a new tribal tradition: The New Warrior Training Adventure - now called The Mankind Project.

Much of the benefit for me was not the deep, transformative pscyho-drama facilitated in a safe container, but the ongoing connection with a conscious Tribe of men and women who are committed to their personal development.

After 16 years, I'm still very involved with the MKP work & the MKP Tribe. It's become an integral part of my life - offering me invaluable support, and healthy challenge... lots of warmth, laughter and love.

Will my Facebook Tribe ever be like that?

Depends who's in the Tribe, and what kind of intense, bond-creating experiences we share over the years! ...and that's the point. SHARED EXPERIENCE & TRANSFORMATION

Finding both support and accountability from a Tribe is as simple as seeking out other like-minded folk who are also on the path.

Once you find your one member of your Tribe, you're bound to meet more.

By showing up at Tribal Gatherings - whether Ritual Initiations,
Grateful Dead concerts, a Buddhist sangha, Burning Man or any other stripe of conscious community coming together to share an experience - those connections deepen in profound, transformative ways.

Personally, I've been growing myself and my Tribal connections in this way since I was initiated at 18. Prior to that, I was a loner. I kinda retreated from groups at school because they didn't feel very conscious - sports teams, drunken fraternities, burn-outs...

Once I felt the power of conscious connection, my life changed radically.  Facebook has simply extended my reach, and helped me connect with folks I would never have found - even at my usual Tribal Gatherings. And after I meet folks at those gatherings, I'm able to stay in touch and deepen the connections I make the old-fashioned way - in person!

They're both important. We spent thousands of years developing as physically intimate Tribes, sleeping in caves together and such...

That's why I always encourage people to escalate your facebook interactions to a phone call, or an actual meeting! Being authentic means being a real person. Real people hug each other. They look one another in the eye. They smell each other, and vibe together, and leave indelible impressions.

Social Media just supports that human connection. It is not a replacement for it.

Ultimately, though, this blog is not about pheromones and feeling groovy. I don't need to write a blog for you on how to do what comes naturally.

What this blog is about is Realizing something powerful through social media.

Yes, bringing yourself into focus with a daily practice of demonstrating authenticity - through posts, videos, podcasts, articles, whatever you do to reveal yourself to your Tribe - is a great path of tranformation.

Yes, connecting with incredible men and women you clearly would never have met any other way - and hopefully make the effort to connect with in person! - is a great path of transformation. No matter how you meet em and stay in touch, the top 5 people you spend the most time with will ultimately define you.

But most importantly for those of us living into our heart's deepest purpose, is the ability to ground our vision in the world and support both our vision and ourselves - and our families - and THIS is what I feel we must come to Realize with Social Media.

How do we walk a path to financial transformation with social media?

Keep reading. Make sure you fan me on Facebook, and subscribe to these posts. I'm gonna be totally transparent with you, and show you my own path of transformation so you can learn from me, and walk with me.

Because if there's one thing I know about Tribes... there's no tiger in the jungle that can harm us when we work together. Alone, though? Lemme get the marmalade, cuz you're toast!

Much love & gratitude for your comments, sharing my links & generally being cool enough to care about what I have to say. It matters to me. You're my inspiration. And I sincerely appreciate it!

Cheers,

Craig
